BACKGROUND

LIBERA NOS is the first ever multi-faith oratorio to have been  performed in the world. This monumental work was written for five soloists, mixed choir, children’s choir, and full symphony orchestra.

Originally commissioned by Mr. Peter Armstrong  Dip Theo, on behalf of Musica Sacra, the work took over three years to be researched and finally completed.

The main idea behind this oratorio is to convey and unite the traditional beliefs and spiritual messages of the world's largest religions: BUDDHISM, HINDUISM, JUDAISM, CHRISTIANITY, and ISLAM.

LIBERA NOS ('Deliver Us' in Latin) is a very exciting and passionate major new work (see the videos section), comprising 60 original vocal and instrumental compositions structured into four main sections: CREATION, LAW & OBEDIENCE, END OF TIME, and RECONCILIATION & SALVATION.

Polo Piatti said: “The oratorio’s main objective is to convey a simple message: as long as people remain segregated from each other, the world will continue to be an unjust and unhappy place. Only by looking for common ground and universal similarities, we will be able to find understanding, and in doing so, contribute to a better life for all of us on this planet.”

The very successful world premiere of this significant work took place on the 20th November 22 in the United Kingdom and received a prolonged standing ovation. With over 150 performers on stage, the performance of this oratorio is an unforgettable experience that audiences all over the word will treasure forever.
